DB3 Architecture have over 20 years’ experience working as Designers and Principal Designer (previously CDM coordinators) providing comprehensive and effective Construction Design and Management services to clients across the UK on varied and exciting projects.

During the pre-construction design and planning phases, our qualified Principal Designers take the lead in planning, managing, monitoring and coordinating health and safety and are currently involved in project such as:

  • Major regeneration
  • Mixed use projects
  • Hospitality, housing and retail projects, – to note but our current projects.

We are as experienced in new build situations, as when working in occupied buildings on tight city centre sites.

Our team meet the definition of ‘Designer’ within the terms of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015) and possess the necessary skills, knowledge, experience (SKE) and organisational capability required.

Our Health and Safety Professionals are highly qualified and a number are Registered Members of the Association for Project Safety who have passed the APS CDM2015 examination (RMaPS2015).  With an active record of continued professional development (CPD) our team are up-to-date with the latest industry developments.

In addition to fulfilling the legislative requirement, our principal designers work with the design team and all stakeholders, to reduce risks whilst incorporating the client design brief throught all the Riba stages of your project.

  • We will attend key design meetings as well as progress meeting and monitor ongoing management of risk
  • Advise you the on information required for the pre-construction information and collate data
  • Issue monthly reports to the highlighting progress made, key risk areas and overall compliance with CDM 2015
  • Deliver Health and Safety Files, as well as handover checklist and confirmation at end of the project.

In addition to the above qualifications, our multi-disciplinary teams include staff from architectural, services and building surveying backgrounds. This combination of skills allows DB3 to manage the consideration of health and safety in a considered and pragmatic way.

We also provide Client CDM Advisory services, and very much enjoy working with design teams and with our clients to ensure that all health and safety is fully and properly considered at all stages of construction projects.
